From the moment we arrived at reception we were treated like royalty. The check in gentleman was warm and friendly and talked me through the package we had booked. We weren't expecting much after some the reviews we read. My partner didn't even want to go but after stepping into our spacious room with a view over the course we were elated we had decided to visit. The staff from bar to restaurant to the cleaning staff were all exceptional and deserve a medal for their service and their smiles. All very friendly and helpful when needed. I don't know why people complain about the beds. We slept soundly they were so beautifully comfortable kind of like sleeping on a cloud. My partner wanted to take the mattress home!Breakfast food was so fresh and such a wide assortment. You couldn't ask for any more there was so much to choose from. Cant beat that fresh pancake machine though. I did eat more than my share.Lucky for us we had the clubs in the car and with the 25% discount offered with our deal we just couldn't resist a game on that stunning course.You have an amazing resort and I only wished I was staying longer to enjoy the pool, spa and tennis court. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly doesn’t matter which part of the resort you go to. Customer service is a 10/10 from everyone. Loved seeing so many genuinely happy staff!Rooms were very clean and spacious. Common areas throughout the resort felt cozy and classy. More local golf artwork different window furnishing and paint the honey coloured furniture...so wrong ...the staff although helpful also need updating...dresswise ...our indigenous culture is huge at the moment so look at dress code to that side of things. Your staff at the bar golf club are less than helpful. Unlikely we will return

My wife and I recently spent our tenth anniversary at Chateau Elan. It was better than we could have expected.As wedding photographers we have had behind the scenes experience with Chateau Elan and so our expectations were high.The guest experience was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and clean. The facilities available at Chateau Elan were ample and available.I would recommend a stay here if you have any interest in staying in the Hunter Valley.

We enjoyed our stay. Able to see Kangaroos living within the area every morning. Had a fun time trying golf for the first time. The food especially at their restaurants was superb! Will definitely come back.

As an experienced international traveler, I don't understand how this service and facilities level can be labeled as 5*.The rooms are old and plain, with a smelly dishwasher and washing machine. The best things about the rooms are white towels and kangaroos behind the windows. Cleaning is awful; housekeeping needs separate instructions to vacuum and remove dust on shelves that have been there for years. Fresh pool towels and drinking water aren't provided on the second day of your stay, and table dirt isn't cleared until specifically told.The food in the restaurant is at a maximum 3-star level. Regarding breakfast, it seems the chef and manager are unaware of diverse dietary preferences. The options primarily consist of white bread with no healthy choice, bacon, yogurt, fruits, eggs, and beans. Fish, veggies, cheese, and avocado are notably absent from the buffet but can be ordered for an extra charge at the bar. Between 3:30 and 5:30 pm, finding a place to eat is challenging as both the bar and restaurant are closed simultaneously. Fabric tissues on the tables are absent. Notably, instead of black pepper, we found a dead beetle from the pepper pot on our plate.It's absolutely annoying that our key card was blocked every day for no reason, forcing us to sort it out with the reception. They just shrugged, saying they can't do anything about technical issues. The location is great, and it could be a fantastic getaway, but these people know nothing about 5* service level. Never returning here again.

Wonderful weekend stay with Family. Rooms modern, spacious and clean. Nearby restaurants were very good. Played golf but course should have been closed as too wet but will be back for sure.

Very large spacious room, nice spa bath, large balcony. A few things annoyed me, like the balcony "railing" was a concrete wall too high to see over when sitting... No view for you! Some items in the minibar were also for sale at the main office, for 1/8th the price of the minibar. The staff were very helpful though. Our room came with breakfast which was great food.

Location is superb, easy to find, walking distance to 19 bistro, 5 minute drive to bimbadgen estate and pizza. Has a great golf course- guys enjoyed 9 hole golf, kids enjoyed the pool. Rooms were clean neat spacious and had great views - tranquil setting. Staff were friendly all the time from check in to check out, to bar staff and pro shop staff- special mention of Kerri at breakfast - so friendly and kind!Highly recommend !

Very comfortable accommodation [ but I found the bed too soft, I was sinking into it! ], a few minor things like the oven not working when we attempted to roast vegetables . Wonderful to see Kangaroos early in the morning. Decent food at breakfast and dinner. On our next visit, we will try to book a learner's golf session.

It’s was really disappointing about the services we booked for three people and they provided us for just two people.The Second day from our arrival there was no hot water and we called the reception asking for help about it , they said they can’t do anything then , they said we can give you another villa for just have shower and come back to our villa, and when I decided to go to the reception they manager was not professional at all and she left me standing in the front door and looked over the curtain and see me standing there when she saw other people there waiting for help,she comes out and said that it’s school holidays she doesn’t have any room. After a long argument she said okay I will give two rooms even not the same what we have already booked a Villa not a room. Never will back again or even told anyone else to stay there.
