Molly-Mae Hague splits from Tommy Fury after five years
Love Island's Tommy Fury has reportedly cheated on fiancée Molly-Mae Hague 'numerous times'.
The couple shocked the showbiz universe when they announced their split this week, with rumours circling about the reason for their breakup. Many fans have shared their theories that Tommy has been unfaithful during their five-year-long relationship - which saw the couple get engaged and welcome a child named Bambi.
Fans even questioned the wording Molly-Mae used in her breakup statement, which read: "Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end."
She continued: "I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.
"You have all been part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x."
Tommy, who is said to have moved out of their £3.5m mansion, released his own announcement where he told fans he was 'heartbroken' by the split and asked for privacy. And now, a source claimed the 25-year-old boxer was unfaithful to the influencer, also 25, multiple times during their long-term relationship.
A source claimed: "Molly-Mae is now aware Tommy was unfaithful to her. She believes it has happened a number of times. It seems he would play away when he knew people wouldn’t recognise him." The Mirror have reached out to their reps for comment.
The source said she was 'heartbroken' by the revelation and 'fully expects that other women' will be coming forward to discuss his infidelity with her. They continued to The Sun: "She thought she could trust Tommy completely."
Tommy has hit headlines multiple times in recent months after he was spotted partying topless with controversial singer Chris Brown in Dubai. One viral clip even showed a woman playfully squeezing his cheeks.
Last year, Molly appeared on Diary Of A CEO to chat with Steven Bartlett about her romance with Tommy and the reason she always felt they could survive a long-distance relationship. Molly-Mae explained that she and Tommy could go weeks without seeing each other, but she never imagined he had it in him to cheat on her. The influencer said the one they had was 'trust' and she believed that was the key to them never breaking up.
She said: "We don’t see each other for weeks on end at the moment and we’ve become really good at the long-distance thing. One thing that I find so key in our relationship and it’s the most important thing that I think in any relationship is trust. We have that complete and utter trust in one another and in a relationship, that’s all you need to survive."
She added: "If you’ve got that trust, everything else just falls into place because he could literally go away for weeks on end and there’s not a doubt in my mind that if he was to be around a load of girls, I could sleep peacefully at night knowing he’s for me and I’m for him and that’s that. You’ve got trust, you’ve got everything."
Prior to Tommy's surprise engagement last summer, Molly-Mae admitted that she thought he was cheating. In a YouTube video last year, she admitted she thought Tommy's head was turned by another woman as he was 'being shady' with his phone on their special day. He wouldn't allow the star to take a look at a photo on his phone when they were in the car to the proposal location.
